One thing for sure: This is incredible
Karma.
This is one of those folks. One of
those wines that I came across that will knock your socks off and
I guarantee will sell out. I apologize, I couldn't get them down
low enough to sell it at $4.99...but I did get it to $5.49! And
I can tell you that this wine sells for $25/bottle elsewhere.
This is barrel fermented, barrel aged Argentine Cabernet Sauvignon.
It's 2006 vintage gives it the perfect bottle age to balance the
layers of flavors in this wine.
I am giddy about this find and I only have 335 cases. And there
ain't no more...(nice English).
The story: A wine restauranteur who visited Argentina and hand
selected this wine to bring to America came to realize selling wine
is "muy dificil" when trying to run a restaurant. Sorry
about that...not really...that is how Wine of the Month Club finds
such great values!
Folks, get it now, it will be gone.
Tasting Notes:
Garnet to rust colored in the glass
that tells you of it graceful aging. The nose is loaded with black
cherry and cassis. Spice components too. The texture is full bodied
with certain silky tendencies. Big black cherry turns to mocha and
caramel. Medium body turns to a layered lingering finish. Serve
at room temperature with your favorite beef dish.
