Beaver Creek sourced this Zinfandel from a vineyard located in the volcanic bench opposite the town of Kelseyville, Lake County. Situated West of Highway 29 between this vineyard sits at a reasonable high altitude with rich, rocky soil. Grapes were harvested late in the season. This harvest was very demanding, due to long and hot summer yet the grapes showed remarkable fortitude. Therefore, this wine exhibits the qualities of a successful struggle: concentrated fruit flavors, strength and tenacity. This vineyard is sustainably farmed.
