Located in one of the regions with higher wine-producing tradition in La Mancha, Mureda is a young winery that has known how to fusion splendidly tradition and technology for the achievement of wines of great quality.

From the beginning, Bodegas Mureda has maintained a steady respect for the environment. The private propriety of Bodegas Mureda is located in a natural place where the natural environment mingle with human being to create a symbiotic relationship.

Bodegas Mureda has always shown great worry about environmental deterioration. That is the reason why the business is highly committed to the protection of its vast lands. 500 years later, Bodegas Mureda keeps its vineyards inside its environment while boosting woody cultives, forestation and olive trees, constituting a unique environmental group.

The legacy of their ancestors goes back 500 years. The property encompasses 23,000 acres and includes lands, rivers, valleys and mountains. In addition, the propriety feels very proud of the conservation of a very varied autochthonous flora. On the other hand, the diverse Iberian fauna gives the place an incalculable value for the lovers of the different species, some of them endangered species.

Regarding historical buildings, some of them, more than 500 years old( La Casa de la Mureda) and perfectly integrated in the environment, have been preserved and restored as they were conceived at the very beginning using original materials to its construction: mud, stones, straw and savin wood.

La casa de Mureda owns all the characteristics of the Mudejar Art or Moor Art. It was developed in the Christian Kingdoms of the Iberian Peninsula but using elements of Moorish origin. This style is exclusively from the Castilian territory and took place between the 12th and 16th century as a fusion of the Christian and Muslim artistic styles.

Our selection is also a fusion of styles. It features the legendary Spanish workhorse grape, Tempranillo made in a classic style, yet using new world equipment and technology. The result is the best of both featuring stylish red fruit with old world backbone.
