Born in Amsterdam, New York, winemaker Bob Stashak graduated from the University of California, Davis in 1973 with a degree in Fermentation Science. He immediately began his winemaking career at F. Korbel and Bros. where he gathered knowledge in sparkling wine production.

In 1993, Bob's expertise in sparkling wine led him to Bronco Wine Company where the Franzia's were looking to expand their sparkling wine production. Here, Bob implemented a traditional bottle-ferment sparkling wine program. Currently, Bob oversees all of Bronco Wine Company sparkling wine programs which includes bottle fermented and tank-fermented sparkling wines.

When Bob joined Bronco full time in 1996, he took charge of Bronco's barrel fermentation and aging programs. This gave him the opportunity over the next 17 years to finesse his skills in table wine production. The demanding regimen of barrel aging wines to rouse their undeveloped characteristics is evident in the wines that Bob blends, including Six Degrees.

With 39 years of winemaking experience, Bob has much knowledge to share. Bob reflects, "Wine should be fun and as easy to pair with food as any side dish selected to accompany the main course." To this end, Six Degrees wines are balanced with delicious fruit highlights and never aggressive or overwhelming. While not home enjoying family life and cooking, he is either in the winery 'concocting' a new wine blend or out on the road talking about his favorite subject - wine!

Chardonnay is still the white wine to beat in the marketplace. The world is awash in it, yet its popularity is as strong as ever. For a time there was a move toward big, extracted wines with lots of oak, but fortunately that trend is on the wane and this gem is a stunning example. Plucked from some of California's prime vineyards, Six Degrees Chardonnay gives everything it promises and then some. Light, floral scents hint at the engaging tropical flavors to come and they keep on coming.

Prepare for a Chardonnay with finesse and elegance. Flavors of apple, citrus, and vanilla combine to present conjugal bliss to the senses. The creamy texture lingers while soft acidity replenishes the palate.
