Just as I thought, some expensive oils and vinegars are lousy andsome inexpensive versions are great.

These two were the "hands down" favorites of the panel. Vistalba Olive Oil (500ml) from Argentina has a rich, olive taste with a smooth texture. Melina's Balsamic Vinegar (250ml) from Modena; smooth with a balanced tartness. I pour this "solo" on my salad. Delivered in a handsome linen gift box.
