Since inception in 2002, the Indigo Wine Group, a national wine importing company, has dedicated itself to developing and maintaining strong partnerships with suppliers and customers alike, by seeking out superior wines of exceptional value capable of driving growth.

Today, from its headquarters in Venice, Florida, and Indigo manages a network of distributors in forty-five states. The company's phenomenal growth can be attributed not only to the dedication of its staff in providing exceptional marketing strategies and sales service, but also to Johann Meissenheimer, who in 2007, joined the company as Managing Director after working in the South African wine industry for ten years.

Under Meissenheimer's guidance, Indigo acquired a portfolio of premium brands committed to sustainable agricultural practices, adding to its already strong lineup of producers. Indigo's strategy calls for taking a leadership role in developing a greater understanding of South African wines, along with giving their full commitment to their suppliers and the trade.

The Chilean port town of Valparaiso is home to some of Chile's most vibrant architecture. Celebrating Valparaiso's unique spirit, Casa Viva or "Living House" is sourced from neighboring premium producer, Casas del Bosque. Situated in the Casablanca Valley, one of the world's greatest "Cool Climate" regions, Casas del Bosque adheres to a philosophy based on the constant search for excellence.

Casablanca has a clear maritime influence with morning fog and a wide thermal range between day and night, favoring the slow maturity of grapes. These weather characteristics allow for premium quality wines, with a high fruit concentration, good acidity and sparkling end.

In January 2010, Grant Phelps from New Zealand came to work as a winemaker and vineyardist. He is 36 years old with a Masters in Oenology and viticulture. Grant has worked in important vineyards from differed climates like Australia, Argentina, Hungary, California and Oregon. He is now responsible for all of the different steps of the winemaking process and maintains a rigorous regimen in the crafting of Casas del Bosque wines.

This is a classic Sauvignon Blanc from Chile. Very forward, white peach and nectarine flavors with less than a few hints of citrus and jasmine. A must with sushi or seared ahi.
