Australian Shiraz

Dear Wine Lover,

$4.99 is bloody cheap, mate!

And those of you who remember Paul Hogan..."we'll put another shrimp on the barbie for ya."

Australian wines are climbing in price. Thus why I jumped all over this opportunity to show a real Australian $4.99!...seriously.

This is solid Shiraz (Syrah to us North Americans). But Australian Shiraz wines have a wonderful blueberry component that separates them from wines from the South of France or California.

Gosford Shiraz is a real Australian Shiraz made in the real Australian style, not cut with sugar--just honest to goodness Shiraz character.  One of the attractive components of this was its subtlety.  Many are so jammy, you could put them on toast (BTW, I do not consider that a flaw, just a style). This wine is leaner with more cedar and spice.

Either way, an incredible deal at $4.99!  Buy as much or as little as you want. I bought every drop that came in from Australia, so when it's gone, it's gone!
