OMG is the work of the Forsythe family, owners of the former Continental Vineyards in Paso Robles. The company is owned by Gerald Forsythe, an Illinois industrialist and race car enthusiast who also happens to love wine.

He purchased this historic vineyard, comprising over 500 acres, and did extensive renovation and replanting to bring it back to its former glory. He also did something nobody expected: he built a winery. You see, here was this great vineyard selling grapes to everybody else. Why not make your own wine?

So, they started making their own wine and it was and continues to be fabulous. They'd planted different varietals on different slopes of the vineyard and, as a result, had an incredible supply of first-class grapes to choose from. While they were deciding, the wines just kept piling up in the winery.

They won't confirm this, but I'm sure at one point someone said, "Oh my God, we have a lot of wine here!" And that's where the next chapter in the OMG Wine story begins.

Suffice to say that when they came to us with this amazing selection, we snapped up all there was. With perfect age on it, OMG Wine is what grand Cabernet is all about.

The color is beginning to show its age with that soft, magenta tinge. The nose is a remarkable blend of ripe berries, vanilla, cedar and flecks of spice. The flavors are imposing but held in check by the soft tannins and luscious finish.
