Pra Vinera means "field of vines," an apt name for a wine indeed since it refers to the birthplace of all wines. It is made by that dynamic duo of Stefano Migotto and Dario De Conti, two friends from Italy who came to the Napa Valley and founded one of the most successful wine operations in the state, Ca' Momi.
They both had a passion for making great wine, but they also knew the pitfalls of the fickle wine business. So, they set up their facility as a "winery for hire" operation, so that winemakers without the wherewithal to build their own winery could rent part of the facility and then just concentrate on the most important part of the equation: making the wine! It sounds too simple to work, which is why it works so well!
After years of providing this invaluable service, they decided to start making wine for themselves. Pra Vinera is the result of that dream.
Migotto and De Conti simply followed the same vision that made Ca' Momi so successful: concentrate on the wine. They had a staff to take care of the day-to-day operations, so they went to work making the best wine they could.
Our selection is a perfect example of this. It represents the best California has to offer with this grape. Picked from the coolest and finest vineyards in the state, Pra Vinera is a class offering with delicate hints of spice and apple, pear and vanilla that seem to just lilt through your senses and rest there.
