There are a lot of names associated with this brand and all are worth talking about. First there's Lynette Carolla, the CEO of the company. She also happens to be married to Adam Carolla, a noted comedian, actor and author who also happens to be in the wine business. The idea behind the 33 wines is paying homage to the Paul Newman automobile racing team. It is no mystery why Paul Newman would show up to race with the number 33.it is the easiest to change if someone else shows up with the same number. You see, 33 can be made to 38 or 83 (with a little tape)!

The wines are made at the ultra-modern Bianchi facility in Paso Robles. The winery was originally founded in the Central Valley in 1975 by the father and son team of Joe and Glenn Bianchi. At that time, the Central Valley was just becoming to be known as a place for more than jug wines. Angelo Papagni was making spectacular wine here. Even the Gallos were making vintage dated Cabernet Sauvignon. The Bianchi's followed.

Seeing the promise of Paso Robles along with the very attractive land prices, the Bianchi's invested heavily there and are now reaping the benefits. It was an obvious choice for Lynette to let Bianchi make the wines so she could put all her efforts and resources into the wine and not the winery.

At first it was more than overwhelming, but eventually she found her way and added her feminine touch to the wines. That touch is reflected in this lovely, but penetrating selection offering deep cherry and vanilla flavors balanced by medium but persistent tannins.
