Cambria is one of the oldest wineries in Santa Barbara County. Many of its vines are 50 years of age, thus almost guaranteeing the most intense and flavorful grapes possible. It was founded by, and is still lead by, the Jackson Family of Kendall Jackson fame, one of the most iconic wines in the country.
Cambria's sprawling 1,500-acre estate is all completely sustainable. Among its many firsts-it was one of the first in Santa Barbara to isolate certain sections of its vineyard and name each one of them. They are named after Jess Jackson's daughters. The Jacksons have attained incredible attention as one of the most dynamic producers of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir in California.
Besides making incredible wines, the Jacksons are also involved in many charitable causes around the globe. They are particularly involved in non-government organizations helping to protect women in hostile nations and helping them acquire an education and employment.
Our selection is classic Cambria. It has all the perfection that we have come to expect and admire for nearly 40 years. They use the same clone of Pinot Noir as found in Burgundy's Pommard region. Like the wines there, this selection exhibits a fuller, richer style, yet still retaining the elusive fruit and flavor that could only be Pinot Noir.
The wild cherry, spice and warm vanilla flavors create one endearing sensation after another. It is gentle enough for roast salmon with tomato concasse and bold enough for pork loin with wild mushrooms.
