After years in the electronic music business as founders of Roland Corp, Tom and Judy Beckmen, joined by their sons Steve and Jeff, set out to make wines as well-crafted and distinctive as the keyboards and synthesizers that built their successful careers. The Beckmens are now among most successful winemakers in Santa Barbara County.

Beckmen wines are crafted almost exclusively from their two vineyards, the Thomas and Judith Beckmen Estate Vineyard in Los Olivos District AVA and Purisima Mountain Vineyard in Ballard Canyon AVA. With over 150 planted acres combined, the Beckmens look to continue their tradition of crafting world-class Santa Barbara wines and offering exceptional wine experiences at their beautiful winery in the Santa Ynez Valley. The gravely, well-drained soil of their Santa Ynez vineyard is the ideal environment for this particular Cabernet Sauvignon as well as Grenache, Mourvedre, and Syrah.

This Cabernet Sauvignon is inspired, like all of the Beckmen wines, by the Rhone Valley. It is rich and bursting with dark fruit in the glass. Notes of herbs, leather, licorice, and earth notes contribute to this wine's depth and complexity. This vintage has remarkable balance and length, with great acidity and very ripe smooth tannins. Serve this wine with Asian style pork tenderloin over noodles. This will also pair well with some roasted asparagus and snap peas, or balsamic grilled radicchio with shaved pecorino. Don't forget to serve with dark chocolate truffles for dessert!
