Bob and Ali Colarossi have been making wine since 2009. He previously served as the president of the marketing commission for the International Gymnastics Federation, Anschutz Entertainment Group (AEG) and as president and CEO of USA Gymnastics. Estate Crush is a custom-crush facility, making wines for over 80 wineries at a time; about half are commercial brands, including many Lodi based local growers and independent entrepreneurs. This Zinfandel is from their eponymous label.

Stellina, "Little Star," is the Colarossi Family Vineyard in Lodi near the Mokelumne River sub appellation, with vines more than half a century old. This region has warm summer days and cool evening breezes that create the ideal grape-growing climate. The vines are head-trained, and deficit irrigated to preserve the flavors. The wine making process is carried out by handcraft with great attention to detail and uses 100% native yeast fermentation.

This wine has a powerful aroma and is fruit forward, with oaky notes and an evolving bouquet. Notes of vanilla, port, and spice give an overall savory element to the aromatic profile, with some earthiness at the end. Possessing smooth and powerful tannins, there are plenty of peppery notes, clove, nutmeg, and vanilla on the palate. It is big bodied with a finish that is warm and bold. Pair it with roast turkey or pork with garlic and spices such as clove and nutmeg or richly flavored vegetables, such as roasted squash with caramelized onion. If pairing this wine with a cheese plate, go for hard and rich cheeses such as Manchego or aged cheddar.
