Co-winemaker, Hossein Namdar, graduated USF in San Francisco with a degree in Theology and Philosophy and went to work for Domaine Chandon shortly afterward. He later attended UC Davis and in 1986 partnered with John Wright, CEO of Domaine Chandon at the time, and purchased a 214-acre vineyard in Sonoma together. In 2005 they named their first vintage under label Robert Goyette, named after Hossein's partner and joint winemaker. Robert Goyette was one of the founders of La Crema, still one of the top selling wines in the U.S. He has also consulted for superstar wineries such as Ridge, Calera and Kistler.

Hossein and Robert have been asked by wineries such as Benziger to help craft their high-end Imagery Series. They have produced wine for the past twenty years and their resume reads like one hit after another. Our selection is one of those hits. We find it hard to believe that one would be able to offer another Cabernet Sauvignon that screams Napa Valley like our Pars. The team's delicate blending with small amounts of Merlot and Cabernet Franc expands the flavors of each. French and American oak aging with 30% of the French being new, further raised the bar of this classic rendition.

You are immediately drawn to the aromas of black fruit, cassis, spice and pepper notes accented by lilting cedar and a rich roundness that envelopes every pore. The intricate blending and careful oak selection just further extends the excitement quotient and would make the most of an aged prime New York steak simply prepared over mesquite coals and seasoned with Himalayan pink salt and Tellicherry black pepper.
