A lot of movie stars and sports greats have made their own wine. Almost all of them failed, except one. Greg Norman is the one. He founded his winery in his native Australia in 1996. His passion for wine lead to his desire to make wine from the finest vineyards he had traveled to during his long and successful career as a pro golfer.
Unlike all the other stars, Norman also had a keen business sense. He knew that his name would help by bridging the gap from making a 20 foot put to making a Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa is quite a leap. So, he looked at it from a business side and that side said that distribution was the key to success. He concentrated on that distribution until he was satisfied and then began the process of finding the right grapes and the right people to make them into award winning wine.
The wine process isn't as difficult as some may think. Greg had one thing on his mind and that was to find and make the best wine possible, then make it affordable. He has succeeded on both counts which accounts for his success. He was well-acquainted with Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley. That decision was a no-brainer. He worked with vineyard owners and winemakers to craft the best possible wine and our selection is the proof. Here is classic bramble, coffee, earth, and black plum essences with currant and dark chocolate to spare. Only a prime aged filet mignon would do.
