The story of Collin-Bourisset begins in 1821 in Southern Burgundy. Their aromatic whites from the Macon were highly touted in Paris. At the time the property was known as Collin - the partnership with Bourisset didn't occur for another 100 years.

Henri, the fourth generation Collin, met Louis Bourisset in London while both were promoting their wines. They decided to pool their resources as well as promote their wines jointly. Their partnership lasted only a few years as Collin passed away rather abruptly. As a tribute to his friend, Louis kept the name intact.

The operation is now run by Louis's son, Paul, who has expanded the reach of their holdings as well as their market. They acquired property in Beaujolais and the Languedoc to bolster their portfolio. All the while keeping a keen eye on quality, as was the mission of the founders.

Our selection comes from the Languedoc, as does most of France's outstanding roses. It is made from 100% Cinsault, a principle grape in Cotes du Rhone and Chateauneuf-du-Pape.

As with any fine rose, the red grapes allow skin contact with the juice for only a few hours to give the blush color. Without the skin tannins, the wine transforms into a lovely plethora of vibrant flavors.
