Our selection is crafted by the Scotto Family, which consists of five generations of Scotto's making wine in California. It all started in 1883 when Sal Scotto began making wine off the coast of Napes. His son, Dominic, continued in his father's footsteps before coming to California. That was nearly 100 years ago.

It's one thing to have a lineage to draw from. It's another to continue in the same vein. The current generation has seen the family operation grow to become one of the 50 largest wineries in the US. That took less than 20 years under the current Scotto leadership.

Today, the Scotto's have no less than three winemaking facilities in Lodi. In total they manage 400,000 square feet of storage, over one million gallons of wine, and 4,000 barrels for fermenting and storage. It's almost dizzying.

The prize here is our Moscato selection. Muscat was one of the first wines made by Sal Scotto and continues to be part of the mix, which is now a tradition. It is the oldest grape known to man and it is thought that every other grape can be traced back to Moscato's 8,000 year reign.

The musk oil, apricot, and peach components in the wine are unmistakable. While its slight sweetness and gripping finish can be enjoyed on its own, matching with spicy foods or after dinner with fruit and cheese is nothing short of magical. We also love its lower alcohol level making it the anyplace, anytime wine.
