Enotria is part of the Graziano Family of wines in Mendocino. Italian grape varieties that were once an integral part of Mendocino viticulture are again drawing the attention of wineries here as well as other regions in the United States.

The Graziano Family has a long line of winemakers and grape growers dating back to the early 1900's. The current owner is Gregory Graziano. His grandfather, Vincenzo Graziano, and his wife Angela, immigrated to America eventually finding their way to Mendocino. They first planted vineyards here in 1918. During Prohibition, Vincenzo had to depend on selling grapes to home winemakers on the east coast and bootlegging wine to support his family.

Greg has carried on his grandfather's passion, expanded the property and lifted the operation to great heights, except for the bootlegging part. The focus of Vincenzo was Italian varietals, which Greg has continued with great success.

Greg is now the heir to the title "King of Mendocino" once owned by two of its founders, Barney Fetzer and John Parducci, both mentors to Greg. If you could pick your mentors, you couldn't do any better than these two pioneers.

Moscato is the oldest grape known to man. It is thought to be the first grape made into wine. One of the reasons for this is that it produces more sugar than most table grapes, which is why it is typically made into a dessert wine. Its musk oil and citrus components make it a wonderful match for almond cookies or a fruit salad.
