Talk about a name cluing you in to what is about to come! Our selection is quite a mouthful of wine, but it is also quite the opposite of the people who made it.

The Big Red Wine Beast comes from Broken Earth Winery. The original name of their iconic Paso Robles vineyard, Rancho Tierra Rejada, translates into "land of worked earth."

Winemaker Chris Cameron is anything but a wine beast, aside from the fact that he's won many awards, including Best Merlot in the World. Chris is a quiet, reserved guy who has been crafting amazing wines for over 35 years without skipping a beat. The name slightly overstates the wine. It is large, but also lovely and nuanced.

Rancho Tierra Rejada was one of the first vineyards planted in Paso Robles, back in 1973. It has always been meticulously maintained. As a result, its grapes are some of the most sought-after in the Central Coast.

When one of the best winemakers in California crafts wine from perfect grapes, you can pretty much call it anything you want. So, beast it is.Our Merlot is substantial for a Merlot, but you won't have to fear a swallow taking part of you with it. Chris keeps the lovely blueberry and spice elements of the grape, while allowing the structure and heritage to show through. A rare pleasure awaits.
