Venus de La Figuera, made by Sara Perez and Rene Barbier, is exclusively Garnacha from the town of Figuera, in Montsant. Sara and Rene oenologically advise the 3 partners of the town's cooperative project and, in return, they lease their Guixs plot to make the wine. The strains, planted on clay-calcareous soils, are located at 600 metres of altitude, in the highest area of the municipality. After its fermentation in open 500-liter barrels, the wine went to a 2,500-liter foudre for 18 months. 2016 is the new vintage of a red wine that, thanks to its variety, its soil and its altitude, expresses the freshest, finest and most elegant face of Montsant's Grenache.
