La Bioca is a small winery in the Langhe. Located in Serralunga d'Alba, one of the most beautiful and best-preserved villages in the Langhe. La Bioca only produces wine from estate-owned vineyards located in the municipalities of Monforte d'Alba, Novello, La Morra, Barbaresco, and Roddino. Focusing on traditional Langhe varieties, such as Dolcetto, Barbera, Nebbiolo, Arneis, and Moscato their wines are born from rare native and old Piedmont vineyards. "Bioca" is a Piedmontese word, which means a determined person with a hard head, just like the winemaking spirit at La Bioca, constantly working to express the excellence of the Langhe.
The 2016 Aculei is blended from 5 different vineyards in Barolo. The grapes are rigorously hand-selected only using the best fruit for the final blend. The wine is produced under the guidance and of the new consultant, the internationally acknowledged oenologist Franco Bernabei.
