Les Noirots, 2018. Chambolle-Musigny

This presents a brooding and somewhat taciturn nose that is beautifully fresh if not particularly elegant with its array of various dark berries, earth and a whisper of spice. The palate impression of the medium-bodied flavors is also quite rich and seductive as they possess an abundance of dry extract that does a fine job of buffering the lightly stony, firm and somewhat rustic finale. Once again this is not an elegant Chambolle villages but there is no doubting the quality of the underlying material.
